The Earlybird Skis Nutcracker 98 Touring Ski is a modern free tourer that will inspire you with versatility thanks to its low weight, 98 mm centre width and classic pre-tensioned tip & tail rocker. The noble boards support technical descents in steep terrain just as much as enjoyable deep snow skiing.

What makes the Swiss board particularly unique, however, is the uncompromisingly sustainability-oriented production concept. This is already recognisable in the noble wood design with logo and lettering elements as well as the oiled finish. The skis, most of which are handmade, are made primarily from natural, renewable materials.

Starting with the FSC® certified core wood (according to the international certification system for sustainable forestry), the top sheet made of Robinia wood veneer, the high-strength sidewalls made of solid Robinia wood, the high proportion of natural flax fibres and the use of bio-based epoxy resin, Earlybird Skis leaves no stone unturned to keep its ecological footprint as small as possible. Consequently, the trend-setting approach was awarded the ISPO Gold Award in 2015 and 2021.

The natural flex of the wood is reinforced with flax and carbon stringers to give the desired stability. And if, as with the base, there is no other way than with plastics, recycled materials are used - this is also how you ultimately have a high-quality, sintered racing base on your ski.
