They are made from two-layer, waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX with taped seams. The inside is reinforced with robust material to withstand abrasion from crampons and ice tools.</p> <p data-start="828" data-end="1368">Its narrow cut design fits snugly around ice climbing boots and prevents the gaiter from getting caught in the prongs of crampons. The front Velcro fastener with press stud allows easy handling, while the nickel-coated buckle over the instep ensures a precise fit. A neoprene-coated strap securely fastens the gaiter to the boot and is designed for use in alpine terrain.
