Description

While Coros has previously aimed its watches at performance-oriented athletes, with the Nomad they are now dedicating a GPS watch to all outdoor enthusiasts who simply enjoy spending a lot of time outdoors. Of course, the Nomad can still be worn for trail running or sport-oriented skiing or mountaineering, but it is optimized for you if you like to roam the mountains and want to find your way around as best as possible.

Accordingly, the watch comes with worldwide landscape maps (with street names) and regionally downloadable topographical maps. Deviation warnings and other navigation aids keep you on track. A barometric altitude measurement shows you how far you have already climbed. Furthermore, the watch has a battery life of 50 hours (in single band with all satellite systems switched on) - you won't run out of juice so quick.

The Nomad still records performance data and training data. It has an optical heart rate monitor and measures your blood oxygen level. You can set various training modes and have your data evaluated and your stress and recovery level displayed.

What is very innovative about the watch is that you can use it as a kind of travel diary on your adventures. If you have experienced something very special at a certain point, you can make a quick voice note using the integrated microphone and it will be linked to the point of the recording in the activity journal in the Coros app. Similarly, you can also take photos via the app and mark special places. Synchronization between the watch and app works in both directions.

The Nomad also has some features for passionate anglers. Integrated weather data, moon phases and tide information are available in real time. With the above-mentioned recording options, you can keep your own individual fishing journal. If you want to review your experiences, you can relive your entire trip with all recordings in a 3D view in the activity flyover in the app.
