<p>The Xenic 10 + Stopper touring binding from Fritschi sets standards for lightweight pin bindings in terms of functionality and safety.</p> <p>Many bindings are now lightweight, but the Xenic also scores with outstanding comfort, excellent power transmission and, above all, the highest safety standards.</p> <p>The rear jaw is made from the side and front. The values are set separately. To ensure that the safety function is also guaranteed in extreme situations, for example when the ski flexes a great deal on rough slopes, a length compensation of 10 mm keeps the release values constant. Incidentally, the two mounting pins are pivoted at the rear, which minimizes friction and therefore wear.</p> <p>The stoppers included in the delivery also do not have to be locked at the push of a button, as is usual with many lightweight counterparts, but fold in automatically with the first step. Thanks to the defined stop and wide step-in pedal, getting started is effortless.</p> <p>In contrast to other pin bindings, the pin jaws move horizontally and not like rocker arms. This has the advantage that the binding cannot open unintentionally when hit from below and therefore does not need to be locked manually.</p> <p>In downhill mode, the binding is also kitted out with a kind of emergency release for frontal falls, as the pins open at an angle of no more than 75&deg; when the tip of the boot is pressed against the stop.</p> <p>Thanks to the wide hole pattern, Fritschi's convincing entry into the world of lightweight construction impresses with outstanding power transmission and great downhill qualities.</p> <p>With the Xenic 10 + Stopper touring binding, the Swiss company has limited itself to a single-stage climbing aid.
