Description

As the name suggests, the Edge MTB bike computer from Garmin was specially developed for mountain bikers. It offers enduro and downhill-specific profiles, gives you a range of options for analyzing your run and is built to be particularly robust.

Thanks to the scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass and the sturdy housing, the Edge MTB can take a beating - and it has to when you're shredding the trails. With a GPS recording rate of a very precise 5 Hertz, the battery lasts a full 14 hours (26 hours in energy-saving mode). Thanks to the high accuracy, your split times are measured more precisely, while the integrated Trailforks maps and Foresight mode ensure you never miss a turn.

The downhill and enduro profiles provide you with all the data you need. Altitude and depth meters are displayed for your run, but also for the entire activity. In the downhill profile, the computer notices when your descent is finished and you get on the lift. You can also set your own measuring points to record split times. During all of this, the Edge MTB offers you grit, flow & jump analyses to take a close look at your runs. Furthermore, the grit measurement indicates the difficulty of the run and the flow shows how smooth your riding style was on it.

You can also rely on the familiar Garmin features. ClimbPro helps you to manage your strength on climbs, advanced cycling data gives you an insight into your performance, topo maps, Garmin Coach, training recommendations and recovery times are also part of the range of functions. The Edge MTB also offers safety features. It sends an accident notification with an exact position if it detects one, the cycling alarm notifies you on your smartphone if your bike is moved and the Garmin community can share danger spots with each other.
