<p>The Akron Mid GTX from Garmont is a versatile hiking boot with a mid-high shaft that offers you reliable support and comfort on demanding day hikes, easy mountain hikes and via ferratas.</p> <p>The upper is made from durable suede leather, complemented by protective RPU reinforcements. Inside, the PFC-free GORE-TEX&reg; Extended Comfort membrane provides breathable moisture protection - ideal for dynamic routes in changeable weather. The Ortholite&reg; Ultra&trade; insole offers long-lasting cushioning comfort, while a semi-rigid polypropylene insert in the sole structure provides the necessary stability. The EVA midsole provides additional cushioning. The non-slip MICHELIN&reg; Off Road outsole with OCX3 and OC1 rubber compounds is particularly impressive, offering excellent grip on rocks, roots and damp ground thanks to its Fiberlite technology.</p> <p>Thanks to Heel Lock&trade;, LaceLock and the ergonomic a.d.d.&reg; system, the Akron Mid GTX adapts perfectly to your foot and prevents pressure points and blisters - for an all-round safe and comfortable walking experience.</p>
