<p>The Akron GTX from Garmont is a sport-oriented all-rounder for mountain hikes, via ferratas and demanding day trips. With its balanced mix of comfort, functionality and durable construction, it will accompany you confidently through any terrain.</p> <p>The upper made from robust suede is complemented by protective RPU elements. Inside, the PFC-free GORE-TEX&reg; Extended Comfort membrane ensures reliable weather protection and a comfortable foot climate - even during intense movement. The semi-rigid polypropylene board in the sole construction provides stability, while the cushioning EVA midsole offers long-lasting comfort. The Ortholite&reg; Ultra&trade; insole provides additional cushioning and foot support.</p> <p>A special highlight: the non-slip MICHELIN&reg; Off Road outsole with OCX3 and OC1 rubber compounds and Fiberlite technology offers excellent grip on a wide variety of surfaces - ideal for varied terrain and steeper passages. Features such as the Heel Lock&trade;, the a.d.d.&reg; system and the LaceLock improve the fit, reduce pressure points and increase surefootedness.</p>
