<p>The La Sportiva Karakorum EVO GTX are fully crampon compatible mountain boots for classic mountaineering. Whether in the Alps, the Himalayas or the Andes, it is clear from the name that the robust boots will primarily be worn well above the tree line.</p><p>Compared to the proven predecessor, the design offers smaller updates, but without changing the basic character. Made from one piece of leather, the Alpin boot is super robust and well equipped for high mountain use. The waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® lining is the perfect complement to the 2.8 mm thick Perwanger leather. The high upper offers good stability and optimum protection, while details such as the low-cut, padded upper and the clever 3D Flex system ensure natural freedom of movement. The lacing is pulled far forward so that it can be easily adjusted and provides stable security even when climbing.</p><p>Thanks to the Impact Brake System, an innovative combination of a grippy tread pattern with cushioning elements and a stable sole structure, the category D alpine boots are suitable for automatic crampons whilst still offering excellent comfort. Even without a continuous insulation lining, the feet of the Karakorum Evo GTX are well protected from the cold thanks to its insulating insole.</p>
