<p>"Peaks of the Balkans" is one of the last adventure trails in Europe. The 192-kilometre circular trail runs through the remote and wild mountain regions of Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo. The routes mostly lead along old shepherd and trading paths, through breathtaking high mountain landscapes and green valleys with old villages where time seems to have stood still. The origin of the circular hiking trail lies in the idea of bringing people closer together again in an area once torn by war.
