<p>The Ski Trab Gara Plus touring ski—developed and manufactured in Bormio—is a slightly stiffer speed touring ski that’s perfect for ambitious athletes. Weighing just 760 g per ski (162 cm), it offers an outstanding balance of lightness and downhill performance in the ski mountaineering race segment.</p> <p>At its core is an ultra-light Liwood Air Core, reinforced with carbon. Its added stability is further enhanced by great steel edges and a sturdier base. The core is encased in a 14-layer construction—a sophisticated design that guarantees maximum torsional stiffness while maintaining a finely tuned flex. The flex and torsional stiffness are specifically tuned for the center, tip, and tail.</p> <p>The High Modulus Carbon Torsion Box with ultra-fine 3K fabric gives the ski impressive torsional stiffness—up to 46% greater than conventional designs—while maintaining the same flexibility. At the same time, the Gara Control Bridge between the edges provides additional stability and impact resistance when the terrain gets rougher.</p> <p>With its precise geometry, the Gara Plus touring ski is ideal for efficient ascents and precise control on quick descents, even in somewhat challenging conditions.</p>
